YOUTH DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAM

We are so excited that you are considering involvement in Stillwood’s Youth Discipleship Program. In YDP, we aspire in all that we do to “Learn to Lead like Jesus Together”. This is our core mission, our motto. We believe that all youth need and deserve the opportunities and encouragement to fulfill the design that God has created for them. YDP is exactly that. YDP provides the atmosphere and resources for youth aged 14-18 to discover more about themselves and who God has created them to be. With a mixture of work experience, adventure, theology, and leadership training, it is our hope that through this program youth will develop the skills and abilities to grow into adulthood with confidence.
STAGE ONE: EXPLORE
Explore is an extraordinary taste-test like no other. Throughout this immersive week-long experience, participants are treated to a captivating glimpse into the world of serving at camp. The primary focus of this initial stage is to foster a strong sense of community and instil the fundamentals of discipleship, all while intertwining acts of service and adventures. Whether you’re ready to dive head first into the world of summer camp, or just looking to dip your toes in, Explore is the program for you. Individuals have the option to attend multiple stages of YDP or even multiple weeks of the exceptional Explore stage.

STAGE TWO: EQUIP
Equip is a transformative program that delves participants into the depths of discipleship. Through engaging service opportunities, thought-provoking theological exploration, and enjoyable activities, individuals embark on a journey of personal growth. With a focus on cultivating good work habits, understanding Christ-like leadership and practicing servanthood, Equip leads participants to strengthen themselves and also contribute to the thriving community around them. Individuals will also have the opportunity to obtain a FoodSafe Level 1 certificate, adding a valuable skill to their repertoire. Add all this together, and you get Equip: an immersive experience that leaves a lasting impact on all who partake in it.

STAGE THREE: EMPOWER
The Empower program offers personalized camp experiences where participants can pursue their unique passions. During one of their weeks, participants will immerse themselves in an area of their choosing while receiving discipleship sessions, leadership training, serving together, and bonding over shared community experiences. This program nurtures talents, fosters personal growth, and explores the application of experiences and faith outside of camp. Participants also receive Emergency First Aid training during our brand-new Empower retreat. Equipped with necessary tools, participants can learn to positively impact others and make a difference in the world.
Age 16+ Two 3.5-Week Options:

July 21-23*; July 28-Aug 2; Aug 4-9; Aug 11-16
*July 21-23 is the new Empower Retreat, which includes the First Aid Training date.
