SUMMER VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Cabin Leader Positions
Responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and acceptance of all campers; to lead devotions; creating one-on-one times with campers; to invite them to come to faith in Christ and to disciple them in their faith; to planning activities with the cabin group, and lead or assist in leading an activity skill. This position requires theological teaching based on the Mennonite Brethren confession of faith and must be 17+ by the end of the year. Attendance to summer training, including online modules, is mandatory.

The YDP Mentors will facilitate the daily functions of the YDP program under the guidance of the YDP Director. This is a relational position: YDP Mentors will live, work, and do activities alongside YDP participants (ages 14-18) and be available to them for support and guidance as they progress through the program. Tasks include leading YDP participants in work duties, teaching or facilitating discipleship sessions, running team-building and community-oriented activities, and more. Applicants for this role should be flexible, servant-hearted, positive role models, who have a heart for the individual growth of their participants, and have experience in leading and discipling young people. Note: successful candidates will be assigned to lead a specific stage of the YDP program based on need and gifting. Must be at least 19 years of age. This position requires theological teaching based on the Mennonite Brethren confession of faith. Must be available from June 19th- August 16th. Attendance to all of these dates is mandatory. Support Crew Positions
At Stillwood, our Support Crew is a dedicated team of individuals who are responsible for managing specific areas of the camp. Their primary role is to support our cabin leaders throughout the day and facilitate various aspects of our summer program. Roles are available from April 28 - Aug. 30th.

One position available. Must be at least 19 years old with prior camp experience. Must be available from June 19th-August 16th. Attendance to all of these dates is mandatory. Responsibilities: to oversee Waterfront Wednesdays, with a focus on power boats (Small Boats Coordinator reports to you). NLS is preferable, but not mandatory. Must have class 5 or 7 driver’s license, a willingness to learn how to drive boat trailers and PCOC ( Pleasure Craft Operator Card).

One position available. Must be at least 18 years old with prior camp and/or administrative experience. Must be available from June 19th-August 16th (including weekends). Attendance to all of these dates is mandatory. During the summer will be required to work weekends, as well as weekdays, with days off midweek. Should be skilled in soft computer skills, as well as organization and taking initiative, with a willingness to learn the online systems we use. Responsible for coordinating the moving pieces of family camp, including leading activities (being able to lead worship for family campfires would be an asset). Should have a willingness to serve in other areas of camp as needed.

One position is available. Must be at least 18 years old with prior camp experience. This position requires theological teaching based on the Mennonite Brethren confession of faith. Must be available from June 19th-August 16th. Attendance to all of these dates is mandatory. Responsibilities: to actively engage the camp in daily worship by overseeing and planning morning chapels, day camps songs and evening campfires. This will include leading teams of musicians and being a liaison between the speaker and the rest of the camp volunteers. Note that they are not required to lead every worship session, but rather are expected to train up others to do this. Must be at least 19 years old. Responsibilities: to supervise swimming activities in our pool, other lifeguards and do general maintenance/upkeep on the pool. Must be NLS qualified and have experience in lifeguarding. Must be available from June 19th-August 16th. (including weekends).

Must be at least 17 years old. Responsibilities: to film, edit and promote the weekly camp video, and compile a summer-long volunteer video. Will also serve in other areas of camp, so must be organized and have good time management. Will work directly under our Executive Director, in promotion of the camp. Must be available from Summer Crew training to August 16th.

One position is available. Must be at least 18 years old with prior camp experience. Must be available from June 19th-August 16th (including weekends). Attendance to all of these dates is mandatory. Responsibilities: To oversee the safety and operations of all daily land activities. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling leaders, maintaining equipment and providing positive reinforcement, ensuring the safe facilitation of activities. They will report directly to the program directors. They will also be expected to help out in all areas of camp, filling in gaps and helping to care for the other volunteers.

One position is available. Must be at least 18 years old with prior camp experience. Will work directly under our Program Directors, and should be prepared to work very hands on with the main camp program. Must be available from June 19th-August 16th (including weekends). Attendance to all of these dates is mandatory. Responsibilities include: Organizing and facilitating all camp games, planning pool parties (while working with waterfront coordinator and lifeguards), skit nights, and various team challenges. Should be an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic individual, with a willingness to go above and beyond in the games that are given to them.

Will work directly under our Program Directors, and should be prepared to work very hands on with the main camp program. This position requires theological teaching based on the Mennonite Brethren confession of faith. Must be available from June 19th-August 16th (including weekends). Attendance to all of these dates is mandatory. Responsibilities: assisting in administrative work, including communication with parents, registration, schedules, and filling in any other support crew positions as needed.

One position is available. Must be at least 19 years old with prior camp experience. Will work directly under our Program Directors, prepared to work very hands on with the Day Camp program. This position requires theological teaching based on the Mennonite Brethren confession of faith. Must be available from June 19th-August 29th. Attendance to all of these dates is mandatory. Responsibilities: to oversee and coordinate the Day Camp Program and to train and work alongside the Day Camp volunteers, leading by example. They will also be expected to help out in all areas of camp, filling in gaps and helping to care for the other volunteers, while also forming strong connections with the youth groups that come to volunteer.

Two male and two female positions are available. Must be at least 21 years old with prior camp experience. This position requires theological teaching based on the Mennonite Brethren confession of faith. Must be available from June 19th- August 16th. Attendance to all of these dates is mandatory. Head Cabin Leaders will not be in a cabin with campers but will provide support and leadership to the cabin leading and program volunteers. They will proactively contribute to the morale of camp as well as respond to both camper and volunteer issues that require special attention. Prior camp experience is a necessity. They will also be expected to help out in all areas of camp, filling in gaps and helping to care for the other volunteers.

Two positions available.
The Approach Program Coordinator (APC) will play a key role in facilitating the operation of the Approach program, working closely with the Approach Director to manage and oversee the program. This includes setting up and running activities, managing staff, and providing hands-on support to campers when needed. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that requires a strong sense of adaptability, responsibility, and independence.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- The role requires theological teaching based on the Mennonite Brethren confession of faith.
- Must be available from June 19th to August 29th. Full attendance during this period is required. -
Two positions available.
The Approach Cook (AC) is responsible for meal preparation and meal service for the program (for up to 45 people). This includes managing kitchen cleanliness and organization, maintaining appliances, and keeping meal records. The Approach Cook will also be responsible for accommodating any special dietary needs. In addition, the cook may be required to support the Approach Director by assisting with staff management and the day-to-day routine of campers.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- The role requires theological teaching based on the Mennonite Brethren confession of faith.
- Must be available from June 19th to August 29th. Full attendance during this period is required.
Additional skills/interests:
Aside from being a cabin leader, there are additional skill areas that are an important part of our summer programs.

Must have musical skills, and willingness to work as a team. Will serve directly under the Chapel Coordinator, as well as other areas of camp. Skills in sound/tech desired, but not required.

Six positions are available. Must be at least 16 years old. Responsibilities: to supervise swimming activities in our pool and waterfront. Will also be involved with Stillwood’s first aid team. Must be NLS qualified and have experience in lifeguarding. Bronze cross training is applicable for lifeguard assistant positions.

Must be at least 17 years old. Responsibilities: to take photos of every aspect of camp as well as take, organize and print the cabin photos. Will work alongside the Video Ministries Coordinator and Executive Director. Will serve in other areas of camp, such as Cabin Leading or Support Crew.

Must be at least 18 years of age, with prior boat driving experience. Must have class 5 or 7 driver’s license, a willingness to learn how to drive boat trailers and PCOC ( Pleasure Craft Operator Card).

YDP provides the atmosphere and resources for youth aged 14-18 to discover more about themselves and who God has created them to be. With a mixture of work experience, and leadership training, it is our hope that through this program youth will develop the skills and abilities to grow into adulthood with confidence.

Four positions are available. Must be at least 17 years old. Must be available to volunteer weekends . Responsibilities: To lead land activities, wide games, some campfire programming and serve on a housekeeping team.

One position available. Must be at least 17 years old. Must be available from Summer Crew training to August 16th. Attendance to all of these dates is mandatory. Responsibilities: to oversee small boats on Wednesdays, with a focus on kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. NLS is preferable, but not mandatory. Must have a class 5 or 7 driver’s license and a willingness to learn how to drive boat trailers.

Must be at least 17 years old. Responsibilities: to aid the Fun Coordinator in game set-up, running and take down. Must be willing to serve camp in a up-front and creative way.
Other Volunteer Opportunities

One position needed per week. Please only fill out this part of the application if you have been in direct contact with the Program Directors. Camp speakers will facilitate 8-10 campfire/chapel “talks”. Speakers will be expected to provide talk outlines and 2-3 discussion questions per chapel "talk" two weeks in advance. This position requires theological teaching based on the Mennonite Brethren confession of faith. For their week they can stay onsite (with families if needed), with access to certain resources. Camp placement or sponsorship is provided as remuneration (please contact if not applicable).

Up to Three positions are needed per week. A valid Advanced First Aid Certificate is required (OFA 3, First Responder EMR, or Red Cross Advanced First Aid). Camper placement or sponsorship is provided as remuneration.

This position is for nursing students aiming to gain experience and add to their resume. For each week of volunteering as a camp first aid attendant (min. requirement 1 week commitment), will receive a $500 bursary directly to the school. Up to two positions are needed per week. A valid First Aid Certificate Required (Standard 1st Aid & CPR-C, OFA 1 or 3, First Responder EMR, or Red Cross Advanced First Aid.)

Two positions available each week. Bus drivers are a necessity for us to operate our waterfront and Day Camp Program. Responsibilities: to ensure safe operation of the bus and perform some bus maintenance. Must have perfect driver’s abstract and current class one or two license and air brakes. Camper placement or sponsorship is provided as remuneration.
