SUMMER CAMP PRICING

Please read the short article below
to understand how our pricing works

As you prepare for an incredible summer adventure, we wanted to take some time to share some insight into how we price a week of summer camp. Preparing for summer camp takes an incredible amount of time and financial resources. We understand that this can make summer camp expensive to attend. That is why we have always subsidized our summer camp programs. What you see as a regular cost of camp has already been subsidized 40%-60%.

Each of our camps have different costs but on average a week of camp costs us about $800 per week. As a nonprofit charity it is our mission to have as many children come to camp as possible so we work to keep the price accessible for all. To allow everyone to attend our summer camp programs we run fundraisers and other community operations. Some can afford to pay the entire cost of a week at camp and by doing so will help others that can not afford the full price. The three different levels of subsidy are listed below:

MAIN CAMP SUBSIDIES

  • 0% subsidy – this price represents the full cost of a camper and no fundraising is necessary. Week long overnight camps cost $620-925/week

  • 25% subsidy – This price accounts for 75% of the actual cost of camp. Week long overnight camps cost $465-690/week.

  • 40% subsidy – This price accounts for 60% of the actual cost of camp. Week long overnight camps cost $370-555/week.

  • Early Bird subsidy – An additional subsidy for persons that register before April 1st.

YDP PROGRAM SUBSIDIES

  • 0% subsidy – this price represents the full cost of a camper and no fundraising is necessary.

  • 35% subsidy – This price accounts for 65% of the actual cost of camp.

  • 55% subsidy – This price accounts for 45% of the actual cost of camp.

  • Early Bird subsidy – An additional subsidy for persons that register before April 1st.

This year (as opposed to the past few seasons), we are offering these pricing options directly within the camp that you select (no finicky discount codes!). After adding a camp to your "cart", you will have the opportunity to choose which cost you'd like to pay.

*Please note that Day Camps and Family Camps only have one set price*.

The cost of camp is up to you. We also understand that, in some extreme cases, additional subsidies are needed. You can access our subsidy grant applications here. Grant applications close on April 1st. In addition Union Gospel Mission has subsidy programs available for persons that live in Metro Vancouver. For more information on UGM’s programs click here.
