We have missed seeing each other in person and being a part of a community, gathering together and sitting in a scared space. This Women’s Retreat is October 14-16 2022 and the theme is an invitation to rekindle and reconnect with the verse of John 7:37-38.
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice. “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.
Krista currently serves Fellowship Pacific churches across BC and Yukon in Development, and Special Projects as well as managing the in-church seminary program, Immerse. In this capacity, Krista connects and works with churches to develop the next generation of leaders. One of the joys of this role is teaching and writing for Leverage Women which is an initiative of Fellowship Pacific that aims to inspire, mentor, and equip women leaders as they lead in churches and communities across Canada. Krista uses humour and the practical application of scripture to speak God’s truth and bring the life-changing principles of God’s living Word to her audiences at every part of their faith journey. Krista lives in Mission, BC with her husband, Jerome. They love their three adult children, one son-in-law, and a very cute puppy named Mona!
Shallum’s Wall has been leading worship at Stillwood Women’s Weekend since 2009 and believes that the Lord brought them together for this occasion. With Crystal Hicks as the main leader, they all come from churches in the Fraser Valley. They chose the name Shallum’s Wall in reference to a verse in Nehemiah 3:12: Shallum, son of Hallohesh, ruler of a half-district of Jerusalem, repaired the next section (of the wall in Jerusalem) with the help of his daughters. In a role that was traditionally filled by men, Shallum’s daughters saw a need, they did not back down but they worked to ensure Jerusalem’s security. As a band, the desire of Shallum’s Wall is to step up and bring hope and encouragement, joy, and love to those they have the privilege of ministering to.
