Our staff-to-camper ratio is at it’s highest during Woodchucks Camp–three counsellors to eight campers–to ensure a quality program and good first-time experience for you, as well as your child. Let him or her do ‘what the older kids do,’ in a camp tailor-made for his or her age group.
There is much camaraderie and team spirit, as campers try out the many activities on site. At night, they gather around the campfire before turning in after a thrilling day. You can almost hear the excited stories, as kids return from their first camp… “Mom, I made you this craft. Do you want to hear a song I learned?” “We went on the longest hike and I swam in the pool every day, Dad!”
Note: There will be no lake waterfront program during this camp.
We run one Woodchucks Camp annually. Please check below to see the cost breakdown and confirm your child’s age, as of Dec 31 of the year of the camp you are registering for.
- New and Noteworthy
We highly suggest you get your registration form in early. This year we are offering a special deal to those who register and pay in FULL before March 15. Each registrant who is fully registered and paid for by March 15, will receive a free camp DVD with their registration.
- Want to be in a cabin with a friend
You may request one other camper as a cabin mate. To ensure all our campers have an enjoyable week, we need to have both campers request each other to be in the same cabin. Our registrar will do her best to accommodate your cabin mate request. Requests must be made three weeks prior to the registrant’s week at camp.
- Check-out system
For the safety of all children, we have a check-in and check-out system. Parents /guardians will receive a number at the time of check-in, which they will need to return to our check-out staff as they depart from camp with their camper. Early pick-up is strongly discouraged as it has a significantly negative effect on our program. Please plan your summer schedule accordingly. In the event of an emergency, please phone the camp during office hours. In case of a true emergency outside of office hours, you may call the emergency number provided by our answering service. You will be given a pick-up time that will be least disruptive to our program and/or appropriate to the emergency situation.
- Cancellation Policy
Campers unable to attend a session will receive a refund, less an administrative fee of $70 plus applicable taxes, provided our office is notified by Friday, four weeks before the start of their camp. Your deposit or any payments made towards their camp fees cannot be applied to ANY other registrations. Another camper may not be substituted in place of a cancelled spot. We regret that barring any mishap or illness, no refunds can be made after this time.
- Camp DVDs
These DVDs are classics! Each week our Video Editing Team will be putting together a high quality 25-30 minute DVD that will make your summer memories last all year! DVDs can either be pre-ordered with registration for $13.50 (including applicable taxes), or bought after the closing program on the last day of camp for $17 (including applicable taxes).
- Drop-off and Pick-up
Camper drop-off is Sunday night from 6:00 – 7:00 pm,
Camper pick-up is Friday night 7:15 pm.
A short closing program will be held at 7:15 pm each Friday night.
Together with the Fraser Valley Autism Society, Stillwood integrates children with high functioning developmental disabilities into our regular camp programming. One of our main goals is to allow children to gain a greater independence and go beyond their boundaries by being involved in as much of our regular summer program as possible.
Camp age groups are determined by the age of the child as of Dec 31 of the year of the camp you’re registering for.
Cancellations are subject to an administrative fee of $70 plus applicable taxes (prior to cancellation deadlines).
