Summer Positions for 2022 Open November 1st

Our summer camp programs are the core of what we do here at Stillwood. The summer can not happen without hundreds of volunteers giving time to make the summer a reality.

Thank you so much for considering being a summer volunteer at Stillwood. We believe that camp changes everything. We also believe that working at camp could be one of the most important decisions of your life. Positions Availible

The positions that will be available for Summer 2022 are:

  • Cabin Leader/Approach Bus Leader
    • Responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and acceptance of all campers; to lead devotions; creating one-on-one times with campers; to invite them to come to faith in Christ and to disciple them in their faith; to planning activities with the cabin group, and lead or assist in leading an activity skill. Cabin Leader/Bus Leader must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Junior Cabin Leader
    • Junior Cabin Leader/Bus Leaders are responsible for assisting the Senior Cabin Leader in overseeing a cabin of ten campers each week. Junior Cabin Leader/Bus Leaders are an integral part of our staff team, and function as counselors, program, and support staff. Junior Cabin Leader/Bus Leader must be at least 17 years of age.
  • YDP Engage and Explore Director
    • One male and one female position is available. Must be at least 21 years old with prior camp experience. Attendance to Leadership Training (June 19-25) and the entire summer is mandatory. Responsibilities: To implement and provide leadership to the YDP ENGAGE Program, training them to be the leaders of the future. Tasks will include scheduling, leading sessions, creating devotions, and general discipleship.
  • Head Lifeguard
    • Must be at least 20 years old. Responsibilities: to supervise swimming activities in our pool, other lifeguards and do general maintenance/upkeep on the pool. Must be NLS qualified and have experience in lifeguarding.
  • Lifeguard
    • Six positions are available. Must be at least 16 years old. Responsibilities: to supervise swimming activities in our pool will also be involved with Stillwood’s first aid team. Must be NLS qualified and have experience in lifeguarding.
  • Video Ministries Team
    • Three positions are available. Must be at least 17 years old. Responsibilities: to film, edit and promote the weekly camp video, and compile a summer-long staff video.
  • Photographer
    • One position is available. Must be at least 17 years old. Responsibilities: to take photos of every aspect of camp as well as take, organize and print the cabin photos.
  • Activities Coordinator
    • One position is available. Must be at least 21 years old with prior camp experience. Attendance to Leadership Training (June 19-25) and the entire summer is mandatory. Responsibilities: To oversee the safety and operations of all daily land activities. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling staff, maintaining equipment and providing positive reinforcement.
  • Chapel Coordinator
    • One position is available. Must be at least 19 years old with prior camp experience. Attendance to Leadership Training (June 19-25) and the entire summer is mandatory. Responsibilities: to actively engage the camp in daily worship by overseeing and planning morning chapels and evening campfires. This will include leading teams of musicians and being a liaison between the speaker and the rest of the camp staff.
  • Day Camps Director
    • One position is available. Must be at least 21 years old with prior camp experience. Attendance to Senior Staff Training (June 20-26) and the entire summer is mandatory. Responsibilities: to oversee and coordinate the Day Camp Program and to train and work alongside the Day Camp staff, leading by example.
  • Head Cabin Leader/Bus Leader
    • One male and one female position is available. Must be at least 21 years old with prior camp experience. Attendance to Leadership Staff Training (June 19-25) and the entire summer is mandatory. Head Cabin Leader will not be in a cabin with campers but will provide support and leadership to the counselling and program staff. They will proactively contribute to the morale of staff as well as respond to both camper and staff issues that require special attention. Prior camp experience is a necessity.
  • Waterfront Coordinator
    • One position is available. Must be at least 21 years old with prior camp experience. Attendance to Leadership Training (June 19-25) and the entire summer is mandatory. Responsibilities: To oversee the waterfront and the pool. NLS is preferable but not necessary. Must have class 5 driver’s license and PCOC (Pleasure Craft Operator Card).
  • “Camp Nurse” First Aid Attendant
    • Up to Three positions are needed per week. A valid Advanced First Aid Certificate Required (OFA 3, First Responder EMR, or Red Cross Advance First Aid.) or a Registered Nurse or Doctor. Is an asset. Some financial remuneration is provided.
  • Bus Driver
    • Four positions are needed per week. Bus drivers are a necessity for us to operate our waterfront and Day Camp Program. Responsibilities: to ensure safe operation of bus and perform some bus maintenance. Must have perfect driver’s abstract and current class one or two license and air brakes. Some financial remuneration is provided.
  • Airbnb Family Camp Activity Crew (Saturdays Only)
    • During these last two years, we were only able to offer Family Camp through Airbnb. This new program was well received and we want to continue this as an extension of our outreach here at Stillwood Camp. We will be offering Family Camp this year in 2022! We will need to run activities for our guests every Saturday during summer. If you would like to be a part of our ministry on Saturdays. This is a paid hourly wage.
  • Cookie Baker
    • Cookie Bakers start scooping and baking around 8 am from Monday to Thursday. We bake between 35,000 to 50,000 cookies per summer! These cookies are enjoyed not only by our campers and staff but are also enjoyed by our rental groups during the rest of the year. We don’t work more than 6 hours a day so you will have plenty of time to tour around our beautiful area. We also take turns serving our staff with cold slushies and making the staff lounge clean and tidy. Stillwood can provide accommodations (hotel style) upon request. Come up on Sunday evening during registration or come and start in the morning on Monday. We are flexible with your schedule.
  • Approach Program Director
    • The Approach Program Director manages and coaches camp staff while establishing and maintaining positive relationships with staff, parents, and campers. The Approach Program Director reports directly to the Operations Dir.
  • Approach Cook
    • Responsible for providing meals for campers and staff during summer camp program up to 45 people, preparing meals for special diets, cleaning/ organizing kitchen and appliances. In addition, cooks are responsible for maintaining meal records. This is one of the Lead roles for our new outdoor program. must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Assistant Approach Director
    • One Position. Must be at least 21 years old with prior camp experience (preferred). Attendance to Leadership Staff Training (June 19-25) and the entire summer is mandatory. Responsibilities: To assist in planning, organizing, coordinating and leading the summer camp programs.
