Job Summary
All employees will foster an environment conducive to furthering Stillwood’s Mission & Core Values. General personnel must possess a desire to work in & learn more about the specific needs related to Stillwoods ministry and operational needs. General personnel will report to the executive director. General personnel will be involved in duties related to the operation of Stillwood. These duties will be given out by the executive director or other persons given authority by the executive director.

Job Duties
- Initiate and facilitate the completion of projects that help Stillwood further its mission and values.
- To lead and instruct Stillwood activities.
- To organize and implement summer camp programs and retreats.
- Aid in housekeeping, cooking & facilities projects as needed.
- Ensure that guests and colleagues are communicated to in a friendly manner, putting the concerns of others before personal gain.
- Work as a team to achieve Stillwood’s mission and objectives.
- The executive director may assign additional tasks. These tasks will be required work unless it is unsafe to perform these tasks.

Requirements
- Stillwood’s government mandated charitable status is predicated upon advancing/teaching the tenets of Christianity. As such Stillwood follows & teaches the MB confession of faith. Stillwood employees are not to engage in activities that would hinder or jeopardize our ability to teach the MB confession of faith.
- Must have the training, experience and ability to direct the total food service operation
- Experience with and compliance to Worksafe & Fraser health region policies for a medium kitchen operation.
- Must have knowledge of large quantity meal preparation, and menu planning.
- Ability to multitask and to organise workload efficiently
- Excellent administration skills
- Have or be willing to receive valid foodsafe, & WHMIS certification.
- Some experience in human resources systems and procedures.
- Computer literate – working knowledge of database systems, word processing and spreadsheet software solutions.
- Ability to follow instructions/protocol consistently
- Proactive, reliable and conscientious
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment.
Requirements

While this position does not require teaching the confession of faith; Stillwood employees are not to engage in activities that would hinder or jeopardize our ability to teach the MB confession of faith.

Work Conditions
- Duties will need to be performed on a schedule as dictated by scheduling needs.
- Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions.
- High levels of stress and pressure.
- Depending on the situation general workers may be offered onsite housing options.
