Application Process

Alright! So you’re interested in applying for a job or program at Stillwood? That’s what we love to hear. This page will outline the different application processes for our various positions and programs. There are five major areas that will be described: New Summer Staff, Returning Summer Staff, Youth Development Programs, Tereo and Careers.

New Summer Staff

Fill out the online application. This can be done by selecting the “Apply Online” button and creating a CampBrain account. Once that has been done, select “New Staff Application” and follow the instructions. For more information on the different summer staff positions, select the “Summer Staff” button.

You will be required to send reference forms to three references, a teacher or employer, a pastor or spiritual mentor and an adult friend. The form will be provided upon completion of your application. You will also be required to complete a criminal record check. The process we use is free and easy. Instructions for the record check will also be provided upon completion of the application. Please note that applications will not be processed until all three references have submitted their forms and you have started the criminal record check process.

Applicants can expect to be contacted within two weeks of receipt of application to arrange for a personal interview.

Applicants may be contacted with our decision up to three weeks after they have conducted an interview.

Successful applicants will receive an offer of acceptance by email. They will then be required to:

  1. Read, sign and return a Voluntary Service Agreement included in the offer of acceptance email.
  2. Provide copies of relevant certifications (NLS, First Aid, PCOP, etc)
  3. Complete a medical form.
  4. Complete the online training modules provided.
  5. Attend a high ropes training weekend (various weekends are available) and Staff Camp (June 28-July 3).

Returning Summer Staff

Fill out the online application. This can be done by selecting the “Apply Online” button and logging into your CampBrain account from previous years. Once that has been done, select “Returning Staff Application” and follow the instructions. For more information on the different summer staff positions, select the “Summer Staff” button.

NOTE: If you have forgotten you login information there is a password reset option. You can also contact Stephen (stephen@stillwood.ca) for assistance.

NOTE NOTE: Youth Development applicants need to fill out a Youth Development Application regardless of whether they are returning or not.

Returning applicants do not need to provide references. You will, however, be required to complete a criminal record check. The process we use is free and easy. Youth Development Programs

EXPLORE

Dates and Rates
Session 1: July 5 – 24
Session 2: August 2 – 21
Rates: $300

Once that has been done, select “Youth Development Application” and follow the instructions. For more information on the Youth Development Programs, select the “Youth Development” button. Applications for EXPLORE are processed twice monthly.

You will be required to send reference forms to three references, a teacher or employer, a pastor or spiritual mentor and an adult friend. The form will be provided upon completion of your application. Please note that applications will not be processed until all three references have submitted their forms.

Applicants will be screened for suitability. This may include contacting the references or applicant directly. The applicant will be contacted with our final decision up to one month after their application has been processed.

Successful applicants will receive an offer of acceptance by email. They will then be required to:

  1. Read, sign and return a Voluntary Service Agreement included in the offer of acceptance email.
  2. Complete a medical form.
  3. Complete the online training modules provided.
  4. Settle the program fee ($300).
  5. Attend the YDP Advance Retreat (June 5th – 6th)

ENGAGE

Dates and Rates
Session 1: July 5 –  August 21
Rates: $600

Applications for ENGAGE are processed twice monthly.

Tereo

The first step is to make sure you understand what Tereo is. To learn more about Tereo, select “Tereo Information” or contact Stephen at stephen@stillwood.ca.

Once you feel you have a good grasp on what Tereo is, apply online by filling out our Tereo Application Form.

Tereo applicants are required to commit to serving in the summer as well. As such, the remainder of the application and hiring process will be folded into the summer staff process.
